Let a= 7

the 13 th term of AP ( a 13 ) 35 n= 13

nth term of AP

an = a + ( n- 1 ) d

35 = 7 + ( 13 - 1 ) d

35 - 7 = 12 d

28 = 12 d

d = 28 / 12 = 7/3

sum of ' n ' terms of thr AP

sn = n/2 ( a + an )

sum of 13 terms of the AP

S 13 = 13 /2 ( 7+ 35)

= 13 /2 × 42

13 × 21

s13 = 273
