Let us suppose a-7=A, b-10=B, c-12=C.

Therefore, we have,

A×B×C =1000

Therefore, for a given product of n numbers, the sum is least when the 3 numbers are equal.

Therefore, in the given case at A=B=C=10

that is, A+B+C= 30

a-7+b-10+c-12 = 30

a+b+c = 30+29 = 59
