Given

Weight or Force used = 72000

Area Used= 0.042

Pressure = Force/Area \ F/A

P= 72000/0.042 ( Take the zeros into right side)

P= 72/42 {Cancellation with 2....}

P= 36/21 { Cancellation with 3....}

P = 12/7

P= 1.7142

Given:

A 72kg weighted man standing with two legs covers an area of 0.042 m².

To find:

Pressure on ground ?

Calculation:

  • Pressure is a scalar quantity characterized by the definition of force per unit area.

  • In other words, pressure is force divided by area.

Pressure  =  \dfrac{force}{area}

 \implies \: Pressure =  \dfrac{72 \times 10}{0.042}

 \implies \: Pressure =  17142.85 \: pascal

 \implies \: Pressure =  17.14 \: kilopascal

So, pressure is 17.14 KiloPascal.
