Total length of stick → 73m
Let the shorter length be x
Longer length → 2x + 16
According To Question →
( x ) + ( 2x + 16 ) = 73
→ x + 2x + 16 = 73
→ 3x + 16 = 73
→ 3x = 73 - 16
→ 3x = 57
→ x = 57
3
→ x = 19m
Shorter piece → x → 19m
Longer piece → 2x + 16 → 2(19) + 16
→ 38 + 16 → 54m
