A 800 train meters long is traveling at a speed of 78 km/hr. if it crosses a tunnel in 1 minute than what is the length of the tunnel

ANSWER :-
=>Let the tunnel be x meters long.

=> The speed of train=78km/h=78×5/18= 65/3 m/s(convert to m/s).

=>Time taken is 1 min=60 sec

=>Distance covered by the train = x+800.

=>The train covers the distance equal to the sum of its length and tunnel's length.

We know that,
=>Speed=Distance/Time

=>65/3 = x+800/60

=>x+800=65×20

=>x=1300–800

x=500 km.
