a 8000kg pulls a train of 5 wagon , each of 2000kg along a horizontal track . if the engine exerts a forcr of 40000N and the track offers a friction of 5000N then calculate the force of wagon on wagon 2

Given, force of engine = 40000 N

Force of friction = 5000 N
Mass of engine = 8000 kg
Total weight of wagons = 5 x 2000 kg = 10000 kg

Total mass pulled by wagon 1 = 2000 * no of remaining wagons except wagon 1

= 2000 * 4

8000 kg

Therefore, force exerted by wagon 1 on wagon 2 = Mass pulled by wagon 1 * acceleration

= 8000 * 3.5

= 28000 N

hope it helps please give it brainliest and follow me please !!
