Craft-Centered Education: Craft is to be the center of education. Gandhiji believed that the highest development of mind and the soul was possible only through handicraft. The education of the child should begin with a useful and productive craft. The whole process of education should be imparted through it.

Answer:

Mahatma Gandhi's view on Craft-Centred Curriculum

Explanation:

Mahatma Gandhi suggest to teach the Handicraft "not for production but for developing skill of the people" . and his idea has been implemented in Schools and Socially Useful and Productive Work (SUPW) as per reports of land marks commissions and policy. because it seems to be useful though production and development of skills of people and SUPW ia mostly perceived as a hobby, it could be embroidery, clay modeling, bamboo crafts, leather works, pottery and many other sociocultural relevant creatively stimulating activities that have a potential for enabling livelihood. when connected with skilling and vocational options, SUPW can transform the way children perceive manual work and impact their young minds positively towards dignity of work and labour.
