Revot of 1857 started due to greased cartiage on 1853 because east India company introduced cartiage to Indian army . of greased cartiage made of fat from pigs and cow of Hindu marks cow as very religious and Muslim marks pig as undirty. British tried to hurt religious sentiment of Indian which sparks of mutiny in camps and India sepoys was against in use. so greased cartiage banned on 27th January 1857.
