- A 96 cm long wire is given the shape of a rectangle such that its length is 12 cm more than
- the breadth.
- The length and breadth of the rectangle.
The perimeter of the wire is 96cm.
Let, the breadth be x,
Where as length = x + 12
We, know
Perimeter of rectangle wire = 2(length + breadth)
➝ 96 = 2( l + b )
➝ 2(x + x + 12) = 96
➝ x + x + 12 = 96/2
➝ 2x + 12 = 48
➝ 2x = 48 - 12
➝ 2x = 36
➝ x = 36/2
➝ x = 18
- Breadth of rectangle = x = 18cm
- Length of rectangle = x + 12 = 30cm
