Answer:

a - ( a - 1/2) = 1 - (a - 2/3)

a - a + 1/2 = 1 - a + 2/3

1/2 = 1 + 2/3 - a

1/2 =( 3 + 2)/3 - a

1/2 = 5/3 - a

- a = 1/2 - 5/3

- a = (3 - 5)/6        ..............Taking the LCM of 2,3 = 6

-a = -2/6

a = 1/3

Answer:

Hey frnd...

ur ans is...

 a=  \frac{7}{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

a - (a -  \frac{1}{2} ) = 1 - (a -  \frac{2}{3}  )\\ a - a +  \frac{1}{2}  = 1 - a +  \frac{2}{3}  \\  \frac{1}{2}  - 1 -  \frac{2}{3}  =  - a \\  \frac{3 - 6 - 4}{6}  =  - a \\  \frac{ - 7}{6}  =  - a \\ a  =  \frac{7}{6}

Hope this helps u...
