Answer: when the pure black Mouse and brown Mouse are crossed the F1 generation all progenies will be black in colour as black colour is dominant factor F2 generation the problem is maybe three black and one Brown as there is a chance of expressing recessive characters due to the law of independent segregation and this gives rise to the ratio of 3 is to 1 phenotypically and genotype is 1:2:1
