Answer:

acceleration(a) = -0.05

intial velocity = 0.5(u)

final velocity (v)=0

let the time will be t second

we know,

a=v-u/t then

t=v-u/-0.05

t= 0-0.5/0.05

= -0.5/-0.05

t= 10seconds answer

Answer :

➥ The body take 10 sec to stop

Given :

➤ Intial velocity of the body (u) = 0.5 m/s

➤ Final velocity of the body (v) = 0 m/s

➤ Acceleration of thr body (a) = -0.05 m/s²

To Find :

➤ How much time will it take for the body to stop?

Solution :

Acceleration is given by

 \tt{: \implies a =  \dfrac{v - u}{t} }

 \tt{: \implies  - 0.05 =  \dfrac{0 - 0.5}{t} }

 \tt{: \implies t =  \dfrac{  \cancel{- }0.5}{  \cancel{-} 0.05} }

 \tt{: \implies t =  \dfrac{0.5}{0.05} }

 \tt{: \implies t =  \dfrac{50 \cancel{0}}{5 \cancel{0} }}

 \tt{: \implies t =   \cancel{\dfrac{50}{5} }}

 \tt{: \implies  \green{ \underline{ \overline{ \boxed{ \purple{ \bf{ \:  \: t = 10 \: sec \:  \: }}}}}}}

Hence, it will take 10 sec to stop.
