A.) This is because of gravitational force, gravitational pull on earth is more than that of on moon, the gravitation on moon is 0.16g and the gravitation on earth is 1g. so, anything that weighs on earth will weigh much lighter when on moon.

B.) There are two methods of increasing friction: one is by making the surfaces rough and the other by increasing the mass of the object that is moving. For example, the tyres of vehicles have treads (these are the 'designs' that you can see on the tyre surface), which increase the friction between the tyre and the road.

Explanation:

A) Let the weight of boy on earth be x

Gravity of Moon =1/6 of the gravity of earth

the weight of boy on moon =1/6 of the weight on earth

10kg=1/6*x

x=10*6

x=60kg

So, the weight of boy on earth is 60kg.

B) The most simple method to increase friction is making the surface rough.
