❄️ Solution :

C.P = 2,000

S,P = 2,400

Profit = 2,400 – 2,000 = 400

\\  \sf Profit   \: \% \:  = ( \frac{400}{2000}  \times 100)\% \\  \\   \sf= 20\% \\  \\

As given so the new profit % will be 40 %

So, let the new S.P be x.

\\ \twoheadrightarrow  \: \sf Profit \: \% \:  =  \: ( \frac{Profit}{C.P}  \times 100)\% \\  \\ \twoheadrightarrow  \: \sf40 = ( \frac{x}{2 \cancel{0}\cancel{0}}  \times 1\cancel{0}\cancel{0})\% \\  \\  \twoheadrightarrow  \: \sf40 \times 20 = x \\  \\  \twoheadrightarrow  \: \sf \: x = ₹ ~800 \\  \\

So, the new S.P is :

→ C.P + Profit

→ 2000 + 800

→ ₹ 2,800

\\ \\

❄️ Answer :

To double the profit percentage the painting should be sold at the price of 2,800.
