Answer: The value of g is 9.77 m/s²

Explanation:

Time period of a pendulum is dependent on its length and acceleration due to gravity. For a fixed length , we get different time periods when we take the pendulum to different heights as the acceleration due to gravity varies with height.

The relation between time period , length and acceleration due to gravity is given by :  T = 2\pi \sqrt{\frac{L}{g }

T ⇒ Time period

L ⇒ Length of pendulum

g ⇒ Effective acceleration due to gravity at that place

Therefore,

g = \frac{4\pi ^{2}L }{T^{2} }

Substituting values of Tand L,

g = 4π²/(2.01)²

g = 9.77 m/s²
