Now divide this into four equal parts . As the person completes one round in 40 sec so he covers the boundry line of the each quadrant(Part) in 10 sec.

Suppose he starts at the top of the track when t=0 . Now he completes 1st loop at t=40 , second at t=40+40 = 1min 20 sec and the next one at 2 min. So at 2 minute the person  has completed 2 loops of the circle and is at his initial position now in the next 20 second it is obvious that he is at the exact opposite side of the circle. The displacement will be equal to diameter. Given that radius is R so diameter i.e Displacement becomes 2R .
