According to the question;

Final velocity of car (v) = 0 m/s

Acceleration of car (a) = - 5 m/s²

Initial velocity (u) = ?

Let the time of journey be 't'.

By using first equation of motion we can get initial velocity.

=> v = u + at

=> 0 = u - 5t

=> u = 5t

So, initial velocity of the car is 5t m/s
