a aeroplane flies 400m from north and then flies 300m south and then flies 1200 m upwards. find the net displacement.

The net displacement will be the hypotenuse of a triangle, whose
1st side = 400-300 = 100 m
2nd side = 1200 m
by applying pythagorous theorem we get
H^2 = 100^2 + 1200^2
H^2 = 10000+1440000
H = √1450000
H = 1024.1 5 m
