Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

A can do the work = 8days

work done by A in 1 day =1/8 part

A and B can do work in = 6 days

one day work of A and B= 1/6 part

Let,

work done by B = B days

work done by B in one day = 1/B part

A.T.P

1/8 + 1/B = 1/6

1/B = 1/6 - 1/8

1/B = 1/12

.

. . B can do work in 12 days
