Concept

Multiplication means finding the product of two numbers. The number obtained after multpliying the numbers is known as product.

Given

A can alone do the work in 12 days and B can alone do in 8 days and they have received Rs.4800 for the work.

To find

The share of work if B leaves the work after 2 days.

Explanation

Suppose work contains 100 questions.

In 1 day questions that A can alone do=100/12

=8.33

In 1 day questions that B can alone do=100/8

=12.5

Now take the situation in wich A and B work together.

In 2 day questions that A does=8.33*2=16.33

In 2 day questions that B does=12.5*2=25

Payment will receive for 100 questions so the payment of 1 question=4800/100

=Rs 48.

Share of B=Payment of 1 question*Questions done by B in 2 days

=48*25

=Rs.1200

Hence the share of B is Rs.1200.
