SOLUTION:-

Given:

•A alone can finish a piece of work in 15 days.

•B alone can finish the same work in 10 days.

To find:

The time will take if they work together.

Explanation:

A's work can do in 1 day = 1/15.

B's work can do in 1 day= 1/10.

Assume do work (A's + B's) = 1/x

According to the question:

 = > \frac{1}{15} + \frac{1}{10} = \frac{1}{x} \\ \\ = > \frac{10 + 15}{150} = \frac{1}{x} \\ \\ = > \frac{25}{150} = \frac{1}{x} \\ \\ (cross \: multiplication) \\ \ = > 25x = 150 \\ \\ = > x = \frac{150}{25} \\ \\ = > x = 6 \: days

They will complete the work together in 6 days.

Answer: 5 days

Step-by-step explanation: A can do the work in 15 days

in 1 day he will do 1/15

B in 10 days can do the work

in 1 day = 1/10

so together in one day = 1/10 + 1/15 (do like fraction multiplication) = 6/30

that is also 1/5 so now from 1 day convert it to days it is 5 days
