a) among water and steam at the same temperature steam causes more harm as it has absorbed more heat energy in the form of latent heat of vaporization.

b) water in earthen pot becomes cool because earthen pots have small pores on the surface which allows water to escape via them during evaporation, the evaporated water takes away the heat from inside the earthen pot, which is again an example of latent heat of vaporization

Answer a-Steam causes more harm at same temperature because steam consume more energy at the temperature nd that energy is used to change it's state.
Ans b ..Earthen pot has pores in them . Because of the pores surface water inside pot evaporated nd remain water become cool.
