A & B are at a distance of 800 m. They start towards each other at 20 & 24 kmph. As they start, a bird sitting on the cap of A, starts flying towards B, touches B & then returns towards A & so on, till they meet. What is the distance traveled by the bird, if its speed is 176 kmph?

Answer:

the distance traveled by the bird = 3.2 km

Step-by-step explanation:

Here more interesting thing is for how much time bird fly

Bird fly for the same time as A & B walked

A & B are at a distance of 800 m = 0.8 km

their relative speed = 20 + 24 = 44 km/hr

Time Taken = 0.8/44  =  1/55   hr

Bird Speed = 176 km /hr

Distance covered by bird = 176 * 1/55

= 16/5

= 3.2  km

the distance traveled by the bird = 3.2 km

Answer:

3200 m

Step-by-step explanation:

Given A & B are at a distance of 800 m. They start towards each other at 20 & 24 kmph. As they start, a bird sitting on the cap of A, starts flying towards B, touches B & then returns towards A & so on, till they meet. What is the distance traveled by the bird, if its speed is 176 kmph?

A and B are at a distance of 800 m, also the bird flies at the same time . So time taken by A and B together, so the distance covered will be in the ratio of their speeds.

Now ratio of speed will be (20 + 24) = 44 : 176

                                                          = 1 : 4

So if A and B cover 800 m the bird will cover 800 x 4 = 3200 m
