what is A’s share if they share the profits in the ratio 2:5?

According to the question, 
Both A and B share their profits in the ratio 2:5

So let the coefficient be x. Thus we have,
2x + 5x = 28000
= 7x = 28000
= x = 28000/7 = 4000

So, A's share = 2 x 4000 = Rs. 8000
