Over consumption of sugar can lead to a greater accumulation of fat, which may turn into fatty liver disease, a contributor to diabetes, which raises your risk for heart disease. Consuming too much added sugar can raise blood pressure and increase chronicinflammation, both of which are pathological pathways to heart disease.

Hope this helped!

A Doctor advised a patient for an insulin injection as the patient suffered from Diabetes. Insulin is produced from pancreas, from a specialized cell called as beta cells in Islets of Langerhans. It plays key role in sugar metabolism. Thus, the patient who was advised to take insulin injections might be suffering from high blood sugar level.
