NaCN can be used a depressant to concentrate Galena in froth floatation process.
Depressants helps to separate two sulphide ores by selective prevention of froth formation by one ore and allowing the other to come into froth.
NaCN prevents ZnS from coming in contact with PbS.

The role of collector in the froth floatation process is that it enhance non wettability of mineral particles.
