A's profit = 38%

B's Profit = 100 - 38 = 62%

let total profit be x

62% of x = 15500

62x/100 = 15500

x = 1550000/62

x = 25000

total profit in the year was 25000

A receives 38% of profit.

B receives (100-38=62%) of profit.

Let the total profit of the year be x.

B's share = 62% of x.

15,500 = 62 x/100

15,500*100/62 = x

x = Rs 25,000
