Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

A - B = 2

D = 2 *A

B = 2 *C

D - C = 40

Now,

A =2 + B

subs A in D

=> D=2*(2+B)

D=4+2B

Now we can say that D=40+C

so ,

40 + C= 4+2B

40+C= 4+2*(2C). ( B=2*C)

40+C=4+4C

36=3C

C=12 years

implies,

B=2*12

= 24

B=24 years

also,

D-C=40

D-12=40

D=52 years

also,

A-B=2

A-24=2

A=26 years

Hence, A=26

B=24

C=12

D=52

Hope It Helps!!
