11,11,13

Given - Mass number of atom = 23

Atomic number of atom = 11

As, no. of electrons in an atom is equal to an atomic number of the element.

So, number of electrons = 11

Secondly , number of protons are equal to number of electrons.

so, number of protons = 11

And number of neutrons = mass number - atomic number = 24−11 = 13

so, number of neutrons = 13

So , the atom contains 11 protons, 11 electrons, 13 neutrons.

yashakshar31: smarttajes bro its not 23 its 24
yashakshar31: right answer is 24-11=13
smarttejas548: oh. I'm extremly sorry for that mistake. I apologise.
smarttejas548: I typed 3 instead of 4 there. Sorry
yashakshar31: no problem
yashakshar31: very good

Answer:

Atomic Number of A = 11

Mass number of A = 24

therefore total number of neutrons in A = 24-11=13

element: sodium

Mass number of B = 24

atomic number of B = 12

element = magnesium, as magnesium and sodium are the only 2 elements having mass number 24.

therefore, the total number of neutrons in B = 24-12=12

hope this helps
