Answer:

  • It will take 20 second to be A and B side by side.

Given:

  • A and B are moving with speed 20 m/s and 10 m/s at the same direction, initially they are separated by a distance of 200 m

To find:

  • The time at which both are side by side.

Solution:

If a body is in Motion, we can say the body is changing the position with respective to surrounding or we can also say that body is moving stationary and surrounding is changing

it's position with respective to the body.

If a body is moving forward we can also say that

the body is stationary and the surrounding is moving backward.

Let B be stationary so we can say surrounding goes back with velocity of 10 m/s

Hence, the speed of the A will be 20 m/s - 10 m/s

i.e. if B is stationary the speed of A will be 10 m/s

Time=Distance/Speed

>> Time required to A to reach B=200/10

>> Time required to A to reach B=20 second

It will take 20 second to be A and B side by side.
