A and B are of mass m and C is of mass M. find the relation between them if the system is in equilibrium

Answer:

The answer is (2) M=2m since the tension on the string from A and B is mg and tension on the string by C is Mg.Since the body is in equilibrium the relation would be :

mg + mg = Mg

g(2m) = Mg

2m = M. ( Canceling g from both the sides.)
