Given : A and B are partners in a business.

A invest Rs. 5000 for 5 months

B invest Rs. 6000 for 6 months,

To Find : what is the share of A in the profit of Rs. 610?

a) Rs. 250 b) Rs. 420 c) Rs. 360 d) Rs. 520

Solution:

A invest Rs. 5000 for 5 months  = 5000 x 5 = 25000

B invest Rs. 6000 for 6 months,   = 6000 x6 = 36000

Total Investment = 25000 + 36000 = 61000

A' s share = (25000/61000)  = 25/61

B's share = 36/16

share of A in the profit of Rs. 610  = (25/61) * 610

= Rs 250

share of A in the profit of Rs. 610  = 250
