A and B are partners in a firm having a capital of 54000 and 36000 respectively. They admitted C for 1/3rd share in the profits C bought proportionate amount of capital. Find out the capital bought by C

The amount of Capital Bought by C is 45,000

Explanation:

Amount of Capital = A's Capital + B's Capital

                              = 54,000 + 36,000

                              = 90,000

Profit share of C = Capital × 1/3 share

                           = 90,000 × 1/3

                           = 30,000

As C bought proportionate amount of capital, so it it will be 3/2

Capital Bought by C = Profit share of C × 3/2

                                  = 30,000 × 3/2

                                  = 45,000
