A : B : E = 17 : 48 : 35

Step-by-step explanation:

If the share of A in the profit is 3x and that of B in the profit is 2x, then total profit is (3x + 2x) = 5x.

Now, A sacrificed \frac{1}{5} share of his profit and B \frac{1}{2} share of his profit in favor of E, then the profit goes to E will be = (\frac{3x}{5} + \frac{2x}{8}) = \frac{17x}{20}.

Now, the profit for A = 3x - \frac{3x}{5} = \frac{12x}{5} and the profit for B = 2x - \frac{2x}{8} = \frac{7x}{4}

Therefore, the ratio of profit of A, B, and E will be

\frac{12x}{5} : \frac{7x}{4} : \frac{17x}{20} = 48 : 35 : 17(Answer)
