Answer:

Sacrificing Ratio of A and B will be

1 : 1

Explanation:

Solution :

Old Ratio =

A : B = 5 : 3

  • A's Share =  \dfrac{5}{8}

  • B's Share =  \dfrac{3}{8}

C is admitted as a new patner,

The New Profit Sharing Ratio being

A : B : C = 9 : 5 : 2

  • A's New Share =  \dfrac{9}{16}

  • B's New Share =  \dfrac{5}{16}

  • C's Share =  \dfrac{2}{16}

Sacrificing Ratio :

Sacrificing Ratio = Old Ratio - New Ratio

A's Sacrifice =

\longrightarrow \:  \dfrac{5}{8}  \:  -  \:  \dfrac{9}{16}  \:  =  \:  \dfrac{(10 \:  -  \: 9)}{16}

\longrightarrow \:  \dfrac{1}{16}

B's Sacrifice =

\longrightarrow \:  \dfrac{3}{8}  \:  -  \:  \dfrac{5}{16}  \:  =  \:  \dfrac{(6 \: -  \: 5)}{16}

\longrightarrow \:  \dfrac{1}{16}

Sacrificing Ratio =

  • A : B

 \longrightarrow \: \dfrac{1}{16}  :  \dfrac{1}{16}

\longrightarrow 1 : 1

Sacrificing Ratio of A and B will be 1 : 1.

Given :-

A and B are partners sharing profits and losses in the ratio of5:3 .C is admitted as a new patner, the new profit- sharing ratio being 9:5:2

To Find :-

Sacrifice ratio

Solution :-

We know that

Total part = 5 + 3 = 8

Share of A = 5/8

Share of B = 3/8

Now

When C admit as new partner

Total part = 9 + 5 + 2 = 16

Share of A = 9/16

Share of B = 5/16

Share of C = 2/16 = 1/8

Now

Sacrifice Ratio of A = 5/8 - 9/16 = 10 - 9/16 = 1/16

Sacrifice Ratio of B = 3/8 - 5/18 = 6 - 5/16 = 1/16

Ratio = 1/16 : 1/16
