Given : A and B are partners sharing profits in the ratio of 3:2.

They admit C for a share which equals 20 paise in a rupee.

To Find : New profit sharing ratio and sacrificing ratio.

Solution:

A and B are partners sharing profits in the ratio of 3:2.

A share = 3/5

B share = 2/5

admit C for a share which equals 20 paise

= 20/100 = 1/5

Remaining Share = 1 - 1/5 = 4/5

A new share = (3/5)(4/5)  = 12/25

B new Share = (2/5)(4/5) =  8/25

C share = 1/5 = 5/25

New profit sharing ratio 12/25 : 8/25 : 5/25

= 12 : 8 : 5

A's sacrificing = 3/5 - 12/25  = 3/25

B's sacrificing = 2/5 -  8/25  = 2/25

Sacrificing ratio = 3/25 : 2/25

= 3 : 2
