Answer : 7 : 5

Alloy A → Brass : Copper = 7a : 2a

Alloy B → Brass : Copper = 7b : 11b

Same amount of alloy A and B are used.

9a = 18b

a = 2b

We have a = 2b.

Alloy C → ( 7a + 7b ) : ( 2a + 11b )

Now substitute a = 2b.

( 7a + 7b ) : ( 2a + 11b ) = 21b : 15b

∴ 21 : 15 = 7 : 5
