given, polynomial = 6x² + x -2

by factorization method,

6x² + 4x -3x -2

2x(3x+2)-1(3x+2) = 0

(2x - 1) (3x+2)=0

so x = 1/2 and x = -2/3

let a = 1/2

therefore a/2 = 1/2 × 1/2 = 1/4

let B = -2/3

b/2 = -2/3 × 1/2 = -1/3

hope it helps you
