Answer:

The new alloy is 32:33

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-  Let A & B are two alloy of gold and copper perpared by mixing them.

To Find:- The ratio of gold and copper of new alloy.

Sol:- gold ratio is 3:2

       Let the ratio denote'x'

a=3x and b=2x

The copper ratio is 5:8

let a=5y and b=8y

3x+2x=1...................................................(1)

5x=1

x=1/5

5y+8y=1...........................................................(2)

13y=1

y=1/13

:. x/y= 1/5/1/13

x=13 and y=5

         from eq (1)&(2)

3x+2x=1                           5y+8y=1

3*13+2*13=1                     5*5+8*5=1

39+26                               25+40

39+26

+25+40

__________

64:66

:.  In this eq. divided by 2

32:33
