And such numbers having having 1 as common factor are called co- primes

For eg.

2 and 3 are prime numbers

Thus there HCF is 1 as it the only common factor in their factorisation.

But if we want LCM then it will be equal to their product that is (a×b)

for eg. 2& 3 are prime numbers and hence their LCM would be 6 (2 into 3)
