Given : A and B are two taps attach to a cistern.

Tap A can fill the cistern in 35mins

the tap B can empty the tank in 55mins.

Aman has started both the taps unknowingly he realized his mistake after 35mins.

Then he closes Tap B immediately.

To Find : After this how much it will take to fill the cistern completely

Solution:

Tap A can fill the cistern in 35mins

Tap A can fill the cistern in 1 mins   = 1/35

tap B can empty the tank in 55mins.

tap B can empty the tank in 1 mins.   = 1/55

Together can fill in 1  min =  1/35 - 1/55

= (11 - 7)/ 385

= 4/385

Filled in 35 mins = 35  * 4/385

= 4/11

Remaining = 1 - 4/11 = 7/11

Tap A can fill the cistern in 1 mins   = 1/35

Tap A fill in T minutes = T/35

T/35 = 7/11

=> T = 35 * 7/11

=> T = 245/11  = 22.27 mins

245/11  = 22.27 mins more required
