Let us consider the Question as follows,

A and B can do a piece of work in 18 days,

==> A+B=18

In one day the Work completed by A & B as

==> A +B = 1/18 —————-(1)

B and C can do a piece of work in 18 days,

==> B + C = 15

In one day the Work completed by A & B as

==> B + C = 1/15 —————-(2)

A and C can do a piece of work in 18 days,

==> A + C = 20

In one day the Work completed by A & B as

==> A + C = 1/20 —————-(3)

Solution:

Adding (1),(2) & (3)

2(A+B+C) = 1/18+1/15+1/20

2(A+B+C) = 31/180

(A+B+C) = 1/2 * 31/180

(A+B+C) = 31/360

A+B+C ‘s one day work,

(A+B+C) = 31/360 —————-(4)

To find A’s one day work,

Subtrating (2) & (4),

A+B+C = 31/360

B+C = 1/15

A= (31–24)/360

A=7/360

Thus A alone will complete the work in 360/7 days that is 51.43 days.

hope this helped
