B (Babli) completes the work in 40 days.

In a single day work completed by,

A=1/45

B=1/40

If they both work together, the work completed = 1/45+1/40=17/360

Lets assume A & B work together for ‘x’ days.

x∗17/360+23∗1/40=1 (x days both A & B are working and 23 days only B is working)

x=(1−23/40)∗360/17=17/40∗360/17=9

So after 9 days Aby left.
