A and B can do a piece of work in 6days and 4days respectively. A Started the work at it for 2day and then was joined by B. find the total time taken to complete the work.

Since B has joined A after this both will together finish remaining work = 8/2+3 = 8/5 days. Total time taken = A's 2 day work + 8/5 days.
