Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

work done by A= 1/A so on work done by B =1/B and That of C=1/C

The work completed by A,B and C together =1/A+1/B+1/C

                                                                        =1/4

work done by B and C in one day =1/12

So,

       1/A+(1/B+1/C)=1/4

       1/A+1/12=1/4

       1/A=1/4-1/12

       1/A=(3-1)/12

             =2/12

             =1/6

The work done by A in one day is 1/6,

Therefore A takes 6 days long to do the work.
