Work will be finished in 32/9 = 3.55  days If A works with his original efficiency and B work with 1.5 times of his efficiency

Step-by-step explanation:

Let say A & B 1 day work on Normal efficiency are  A & B

a and b can finish a certain piece of work in 4days

=> 4( A + B) = Work

=> 4A + 4B = Work

a reduces his efficiency by 30% and B increases by 10% then work will be finished in 5days.

=>  5( (A - 0.3A)  + (B + 0.1B) ) = Work

=> 3.5A  + 5.5B  = Work

4A + 4B =  3.5A  + 5.5B

=> 0.5A = 1.5B

=> A = 3B

4A + 4B =  4*3B + 4B = 16B = Work

a works with his original efficiency and B work with 1.5 times of his efficiency,

Then 1 Day work  = A  +  1.5B

= 3B + 1.5 B

= 4.5B

Number of Days = Work / 1 Day work =  16B/4.5B

= 32/9

= 3.55 Days
