A and B can finish a piece of work in 24 days and 16 days respectively. If A , B and C together can finish it in 8 days then C can finish the work in how many days ?

Let C completes the same work in 'X' days.
C in 1 day does: 1/X work
Given (A,B,C) together complete the work in 8 days
Together, in 1 day they do: 1/8 part
Hence,
1/8 = 1/24 + 1/16 + 1/X
1/X = 1/8 - 1/24 - 1/16
1/X = 6-2-3/48 = 1/48
X = 48 days.
So C can finish the work in 48 days.
