Answer:

Rs 7000

Explanation:

Given : Earning ratio of A & B is 2 : 1

Spending ratio of A & B is 5 : 3

Savings ratio of A & B is 4 : 1

Total savings A & B is Rs 5000

Solution :

Let the earnings of A & B be Rs 2x & Rs x respectively

Spending of  A & B be Rs 5y and Rs 3y respectively

Savings of  A & B be Rs 4z and Rs z respectively

Total savings of A & B = Rs 5000  ----------(given)

Savings of A + Savings of B = 5000

4z + z = 5000

5z = 5000

z = (5000/5)

z = 1000

Therefore Savings of A = 4z = 4*1000 = Rs 4000

Savings of B = z = Rs 1000

Now ,

Earning - Spending = Savings ---(i)

For A => 2x - 5y = 4000 ---- (ii)   [from (i)]

For B => x - 3y = 1000   -------(iii)  [from (i)]

Solving equations (ii) and (iii)

Multiply equation (ii) by 3 and equation (iii) by 5 respectively

we get

6x - 15y = 12000 --- (iv)

5x - 15y = 5000 ----(v)

Subtracting equation (iv) and equation (v)  we get

x = 7000

Therefore monthly income of B = x = Rs 7000
