Gɪᴠᴇɴ :-

  • A and B entered into a business with capital ₹80,000 and ₹1,20,000 respectively.
  • After 4months each invested ₹20,000 more .
  • Total Profit Earned At the End of 1 Year = Rs.68,000.

Tᴏ Fɪɴᴅ :-

  • The difference in the share of their Profit ?

Fᴏʀᴍᴜʟᴀ ᴜsᴇᴅ :-

  • Profit is Distributed in The ratio of Their Money Invested * Time. .

Sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-

→ A invest for First Four Month = Rs.80,000

→ A invest for Rest 8 Months of the year = (80000+20000) = Rs.1,00,000

Similarly,

B invest for First Four Month = Rs.1,20,000

→ B invest for Rest 8 Months of the year = (120000+20000) = Rs.1,40,000

Therefore,

Ratio of Profit of A : B = (80000*4 + 100000*8) : (120000*4+140000*8)

Ratio of Profit of A : B = (320000+800000) : (480000+1120000)

→ Ratio of Profit of A : B = 1120000 : 1600000

→ Ratio of Profit of A : B = 112 : 160

Ratio of Profit of A : B = 7 : 10

So,

→ Total Profit = 7 + 10 = 17 units.

Now, Given That,

17 units = 68000

→ Difference (10 - 7) = 3 units = (68000/17) * 3 = Rs.12,000 (Ans.)

Hence, The difference in the share of their Profit is Rs.12,000 .
