Difference between their share in the annual profit = 3,000

Explanation:

Solution :

Amount invested by A = 20,000

Amount invested by B = 30,000

After 4 months A put in 5,000 more

According to the Question :

A = (20,000 × 4 ) + (25,000 × 8)

= 80,000 + 2,00,000

= 2,80,000

A's Share = 2,80,000

B = 30,000 × 12

= 3,60,000

B's Share = 3,60,000

Ratio of A and B =

  • A : B
  • 2,80,000 : 3,60,000

28 : 36 = 7 : 9

A : B = 7 : 9

Annual profit = Rs. 24,000

A = 24,000 × 7/16

= 10,500

B = 24,000 × 9/16

= 13,500

Difference between their share in the annual profit

A 's Profit - B's Profit

= 13,500 - 10,500

= 3,000

Difference between their share in the annual profit = 3,000
